At White Ridge Cheese, everything begins with a simple love for the craft and a story close to the heart.

Our founder, Palam, first stepped into the world of cheesemaking in July 2010 as a student, simply looking for a job. What he found instead was a passion that would shape his life. Drawn in by the warmth of the curd, the rhythm of the process, and the unmistakable aroma of fresh hot cheese, he became immersed in the artistry of it all.

What began as curiosity soon turned into something deeper. An obsession with creating, refining, and reimagining what cheese could be.

And the name White Ridge… well that holds a story of its own.

Inspired by a children’s book his son once loved, one that spoke of a “white ridge”. The name became something more than just words. It became a symbol of purity, imagination, and the precious moments we share with our loved ones that stay with us. Palam’s devotion to his children is woven into the very foundation of the brand, making White Ridge Cheese not just a business, but something deeply personal and heartfelt.

His connection to food began long before cheesemaking.

Born in Punjab and raised near the foothills of the Himalayas, Palam grew up surrounded by nature, animals, and the rhythm of farm life. Some of his earliest memories are of working with water buffalos. Milking them, caring for them, even sitting atop them as they drifted through crystal-clear waters. It was here that he developed a deep respect for where food comes from, and the simple beauty of creating something by hand.

Today, that philosophy continues to guide everything we do.

At White Ridge Cheese, we are more than one person, we are a small, passionate team working in harmony to bring this vision to life.

At the front of the store, Maria is the warm, welcoming face our customers know and love, creating a space that feels inviting and personal. Behind the scenes, Elisa shapes the art, communication, and brand experience, translating Palam’s vision into something you can see and feel. Supporting it all, Tony ensures the technical elements run seamlessly, forming the backbone of the operation.

Together, we work as one, blending craft, creativity, and care to create a business that feels effortless, yet deeply considered.
